WHO WE ARE
MoveUkraine is an officially registered Charity in Ukraine headed by John Shmorhun, whom himself was forced to relocate out of the city of Kyiv in February 2022 to escape from russian bombing.
John witnessed the thousands of Ukrainian mothers and children flooding into the Western Ukrainian city of Lviv, which is near the Polish border. He established MoveUkraine in response to the urgent need to get these people off floors in railway stations, churches, and village halls.
So far, the MoveUkraine team have raised over USD 700,000 to house over 8000 people in emergency shelter and has also been delivering 60 tons per week of food and medicine to the people most in need in conflict areas in the East of Ukraine.
WHAT WE DO
We refurbish and repurpose existing old buildings to provide safe secure homes for Ukrainian IDPs as well as providing food, medicine, child daycare facilities, and emotional and psychological support for families traumatized by war.
To execute rapid and innovative solutions to the needs of IDPs for housing, jobs, and lives.
Western Ukraine is a safe initial location for retaining, recovering, and reintegrating IDPs into their new communities.
